[BUG] NPM installation hangs at fsevents@2.3.3 install node_modules/fsevents node-gyp rebuild

This issue exists in the latest npm version

• I am using the latest npm

Current Behavior

Mac OS 26.4. Installed node through home-brew then tried to install NPM and hangs in there. tried clearing cache still the same.

v22.22.0
10.9.4

Expected Behavior

No response
